ComputerSearch Payroll Services, then ComputerSearch Corporation, was founded in 1967 by a group of engineers from Bell Aerosystems. During the early years, ComputerSearch developed software in such areas as real estate information retrieval, on-line accounting and inventory systems, medical billing, and engineering time-sharing. In 1969 we acquired a local payroll company named Paytronics and thus our entry into the Payroll processing industry.
By the mid-80s, due to the increase demand for payroll services, management decided to consolidate our other services and concentrate strictly on payroll. This allowed for the expansion of our payroll software to include other related services such as tax filing, direct deposit, human resources, application integration with accounting and HR systems, and time and attendance interfaces. This lead to the creation of our online Payroll processing application, MicroPay.
Today, with the continued adoption of the Internet, personal computers, and evolution of the technology industry, ComputerSearch continues to evolve our core Payroll offerings and MicroPay features to match the ever growing demands of our customers and payroll industry.
Our people are the secret of our success. Over half of our staff have been with the organization for over 20 years!
